Starting Over: What Becoming My Dream Girl Actually Looks Like Right Now

“Becoming your dream girl isn’t about waking up one day and suddenly having your life together. It’s about deciding—over and over again—that the woman you’re becoming is worth showing up for.”

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you probably saw my Netflix documentary reel and my carousel about the things I’m focusing on in this season of my life.

The truth is…

This season doesn’t look glamorous.

It isn’t filled with luxury vacations, perfectly color-coded calendars, or checking every box on my vision board.

Instead, it looks like rebuilding.

It looks like motherhood.

It looks like healing.

It looks like choosing discipline on the days motivation doesn’t show up.

And honestly? I think that’s what becoming your dream girl actually looks like.

Progress.

Why I’m Choosing Consistency Instead of Motivation

Motivation is wonderful, But it isn’t dependable.

Some mornings I wake up ready to conquer the world. Other mornings I don’t feel like doing anything.

If I only worked when I felt motivated, nothing would ever get done. So I’m choosing consistency instead.

Showing up because I said I would. Keeping promises to myself. Becoming someone I can trust.

Because every promise you keep to yourself becomes evidence that you’re capable of more.

Why Consistency Has Been So Hard

It’s easy to believe that consistency means never missing a day.

Never falling behind, always being productive, and always feeling inspired.

I now know consistency is about returning.

It’s deciding that one missed workout doesn’t become a missed month.

One bad week doesn’t become a bad year.

And one setback doesn’t become your identity.

I’ve started over more times than I can count, but every time I started again,

I become someone a little stronger than before.

Building Herfa Maxwell Beauty

Starting Herfa Maxwell Beauty again is teaching me that confidence isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you practice.

Motherhood has changed the way I build my business. My priorities have shifted, my schedule looks different, and my energy isn’t what it used to be. Some days, my biggest accomplishment is simply keeping my son happy, healthy, and loved.

And in this season, that’s enough.

I’ve stopped trying to build my business the way I did before becoming a mom. Instead, I’m learning to build a life and a brand that works for the woman I am today—one where ambition and motherhood don’t compete; they grow together.

Of course, I still have moments of doubt. I wonder if anyone will buy, if anyone will care, or if I’m doing enough.

Then I remind myself that every brand I admire started with someone who chose to keep showing up before anyone else believed in them.

Herfa Maxwell Beauty has never just been about lashes. It’s about creating small rituals that help women feel a little more like themselves.

And this season has reminded me that while those little rituals may seem simple, they matter. Sometimes confidence begins with taking ten minutes for yourself, putting on a pair of lashes, and remembering the woman you already are.

What’s Helping Me Stay Consistent

These aren’t magic products.

They simply make showing up a little easier.

My Everyday Favorites

📚 Audiobooks

Between motherhood and everything else life demands, I don’t always have time to sit and read. Audiobooks have become my way of learning on the go, helping me grow my mindset and stay inspired while fitting into my everyday routine.

Herfa Maxwell Beauty Lashes

Some days I don’t wear makeup, I only brush my brows and put on lip gloss.

And other days, I only have time for lashes.

It’s amazing how one small ritual can make you feel more like yourself again.

Because confidence doesn’t always have to be loud.

Sometimes it’s just looking in the mirror and smiling.

This Week’s Challenge

I want us to do this together.

Don’t try to change your whole life this week.

Don’t make a list of twenty new habits.

Just choose one.

One habit that the future version of you would be proud you started today.

Maybe it’s drinking more water.

Maybe it’s walking every morning.

Maybe it’s reading ten pages before bed.

Maybe it’s finally posting the content you’ve been sitting on.

Whatever it is…

Commit to it for the next seven days.

Not because you’re motivated.

Because you’re becoming someone who keeps promises to herself.

That’s how dream girls are built.

One ordinary day at a time.

I’d love to know what habit you’re choosing.

Leave a comment below or send me a message on Instagram.

I’m cheering for you—and I’ll be doing the challenge right alongside you.
