Hey babe, it’s your girl and fellow momma here.
Let me tell you, being a mom is no easy feat. Between the endless chores, taking care of the kiddos and dealing with job stress, sometimes it feels like there’s just not enough hours in the day. And let’s be real, saying “no” to those expectations that society places on us can come at a pretty steep financial cost.
But guess what? Pure Leaf has partnered with SeekHer Foundation, an organization working to dismantle societal expectations that negatively impact women, to help with their “No” Grants. Last year, they committed $1 million to help support women who want to say “no” more in the workplace, and this year they’ve brought on maternal care advocate, author, and mother Elaine Welteroth to help allocate another $400k in grant funding.
Sure, ordering takeout or booking a sitter for date night may seem like small expenses, but when you’re already struggling to make ends meet, those costs add up. That’s where the “No” Grants come in – providing short-term support to help alleviate some of the financial pressures of motherhood.
For me personally, this grant would mean the world. It would allow me to hire some extra help around the house so I can finally catch my breath. And let’s face it, when momma’s happy, everyone’s happy.
So, if you’re anything like me and just need a little extra support to say “no” to unrealistic expectations, then share your story and apply for a Pure Leaf “No” Grant. Let’s show society that saying “no” is beautiful and it shouldn’t come with a financial burden. We got this, mommas!
