3 Easy DIY Facial Masks To Make At Home With Items In Your Kitchen

DIY facial masks are a great way to get your skin in tip-top shape. They’re also an easy way to pamper yourself at home. There are so many different types of DIY face masks out there, so you’re bound to find something that works for you. Here are three of my favorite DIY face mask recipes that are super easy to make.

Be mindful of food allergies or sensitive skin. Be sure to check ingredients before applying any products to your skin or do a spot test for allergic reactions.

1. Yogurt Face Mask

This mask is great for adding moisture into your face and brightening your skin.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of honey

1 tablespoon of plain greek yogurt

2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

Directions

In a large bowl mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt and 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice. The mixture should be creamy but not too runny. If it’s too runny or too thick, adjust the amounts until you get a good consistency that won’t drip off your face when applied. Let sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

2. Citrus Fruit Face Mask

This mask is perfect for dry skin because it hydrates and moisturizes the skin. The honey will help tighten pores and reduce inflammation while the fruit juices will hydrate your skin.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of honey

1 teaspoon each of lemon juice

1 teaspoon each of orange juice

Directions

To use this mask, combine 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 teaspoon each of lemon juice and orange juice. Apply the mixture to your face, leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.

3. Oatmeal Face Mask

Oatmeal has soothing properties that help reduce redness and irritation due to acne breakouts or other skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of ground oats

1 egg white

Directions

To make an oatmeal mask, mix together 1 tablespoon of ground oats with 1 egg white until it forms a paste and apply it directly to your face using circular motions until it dries completely (about 15 minutes). Once dry, rinse with warm water.

I’m sure that you’ve heard about face masks. They are all the rage these days, and for good reason. They can help your skin look younger, fresher and even more radiant. A facial mask is a great way to give your skin a boost in just 20 minutes. You can make your own facial masks at home or you can check out the above selections.
